just got back into gardening so i’ve forgotten. are basil leaves supposed to be this big

Touchscreen keyboards (at least the android varieties) irritate me deeply. I've used the Samsung keyboard, gboard, swiftkeys, and they're all trash. Nothing hurts me more than trying to angry rant to someone with my phone and the keyboard getting every single goddamn word wrong. And it feels like they've all gotten worse.

I can't turn off autocorrect because then I'd have nothing but typos, but relying on the autocorrect is no good. Gboard, for instance, thought I meant "we're" EVERY SINGLE GODDAMN TIME I TYPED "WERE" regardless of whether "we're" made any fucking grammatical sense.

Long story short, phones are no fun and sometimes I just wanna go back to my stupid flip phone and computer. I can't tell you the number of times I've given up on a post because I just couldn't fuckin get it to type right on my phone.

Using predictive text and it keeps suggesting titles for shit I've never heard of

Trying to text Zan and type the letter g and fucking swiftkey is immediately like "Ghosts of Tsushima" and I have no fucking clue what that is

I look it up cause I'm curious now and it's a goddamn game. It's some fucking video game that I don't know anything about, have never talked about before, have never typed out before, but the fucking keyboard is telling me about it

And then it happened with other shit

Movies, shows, other games that predictive text has no reason to assume I'll be talking about

I am aware that we live in an advertising saturated hellworld but I really don't need it rubbed in my face like this

I use SwiftKey keyboard on mobile and used to think it did a great job with autocorrect. Now it's changing some words that were correct to other words when I add the next word or two. And the changed word is not at all close to what I typed! IS THIS WHAT'S HAPPENING? It's changing it based on FREQUENCY? If that's what it's doing I'm going to lose my goddamn mind
